Muffett's 2004 crystal model Xbox: Haha, that's what I want you to think! Then, when you least expect it I'll burn you all bwahahahaha! -However in all seriousness, I also own a 2004 model Xbox and it doesn't get used that often, so I don't really see the point in ordering a new cable or even worrying about it at all...to be honest I'm more concerned about the headache inducing nature of the Xbox than whether it will burn me and my house down or not. Following all the XBOX power cable hype I found some information out The real problem is the Foxlink power supply. There have been numerous reports of "loose power connectors" in xboxes, and the cause of this is that the solder joints on the PSU have actually broken where the connector mounts to the board, which can result in the xbox not powering on, or possibly even sparks, smoke, and fire. So, instead of taking the costly duty of recalling all older xboxes, what do they do? They give you a power cord with this huge GFI thing. This in no way will solve the problem, it is merely a bandaid. So, when your PSU sparks and shorts out, it just trips a switch instead of catching fire, but your xbox still doesn't work. Now I dont use my XBOX that much and havent even bothered to get the new cable, but as it only affects the older XBOXs and as my 1 is a 2004 crystal model I dont think I have the need to worry :) Sandman at 10:42 am |

Going to see Stephen Fretwell play in Stoke tonight. Wahoo and all that. Edit: Edit...Ed it, hehe. *Cough*, anyways...Twas a good gig, and the support act summed it up nicely - "If you had a bad day today, you've come to the wrong gig". Ed at 6:30 pm |
So, I have started a revolution of sorts. Instead of blogging to my site, I have 'gifted' The Factory, with two new posts. I know it's only two, but come on lets revolve people! We should all start by putting The Factory as our number one priority, above work, Uni and your own other personal site[s]. Anyway I have done my bit, see you in 2006. Shough at 3:05 pm |
So, the other day I had the Duff brewery theme song in my head "Duff beer for me, Duff beer for you, I'll have a Duff...You have one too" which was highly irritating because I just wanted to sing it to the world. After watching Anchorman [starring Will Ferrell] however, a new song plagued my fragile mind, that song is of course Afternoon Delight it's crazy, it's insane, it's absurdly stupidly funny to see Ferrell and co singing along to this song, it will get in your head and won't leave...Ever. Come on, sing along! If you don't think this is the greatest song in the world I will fight you... Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight Gonna grab some afternoon delight My motto's always been 'when it's right, it's right' Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night? When everything's a little clearer in the light of day And we know the night is always gonna be there any way Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite Looking forward to a little afternoon delight Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting Sky rockets in flight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight Started out this morning feeling so polite I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling A little afternoon delight Sky rockets in flight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight Please be waiting for me, baby, when I come around We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite Looking forward to a little afternoon delight Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting Sky rockets in flight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight Afternoon delight ... It's always poor when your favorite TV show is cancelled, the bitter taste of remorse over Futurama being axed is still in my mind. Die Fox, die! But isn't always hilarious when it's a TV show you either hate or couldn't care less about, yup. Say hello then to, Star Trek: Enterprise. Which has recently been cancelled by UPN, bwahahaha! The show is not without it's suspiciously loyal fans though and a site has been set up in an attempt to rally fans together to bring back the show for one more season. Can they possibly achieve such a thing though? Well, unless they are seriously loaded I doubt it. They would [so I'm told] need to raise a cool $19 million if they wanted to see another season of their beloved show. So, go pay them a visit and either laugh at them like me or join their campaign to bring back some crappy TV Show. Shough at 12:59 pm |
Power-cuts all round it would seem, my house was without power for about 45 minutes today, and then it went insane and kept going on/off/on/off. I couldn't watch TV, I couldn't use my computer, I couldn't bask in electrically heated warmth and I certainly couldn't cook up some delicious lunch. My life is totally based in technology, without it we have very little. Shough at 12:45 pm |

Finally [note: Someone may have said it before without me noticing] somebody has said the word lineage on here, it's one of my most loved words, and joins nine others on my top ten list of words I like to say sometimes. For reference [and for the fact this is my first post on here in years and am making the most of it] the top ten is below:

I have just been reading the B3ta news letter and they linked to this site. It's all about bands copying other bands' cover art, now there are a fair few images but hidden amongst them all was this lill' beauty.

Yes. Infact, leave two socks of different lineage together in a warm, dry environment - and reap the benefits.
